The Hamster Pro20 AP has a low-profile, water-resistant design and is equipped with the industry's most durable and advanced optical sensor, which uses unique fingerprint technology.
The Secugen Hamster Pro20 AP Fingerprint scanner can be used for authentication, identification, and verification purposes, allowing your fingerprints to work as digital passwords that cannot be lost, forgotten or stolen.

⇝ Use the sgdx.exe tool to check that the device is working correctly. There are three steps involved in the test.
a. Identification of the device
b. Initialization of the device
c. Capture your fingerprint.

⇝ If you do not skip the Automatic Driver Installation Process , Windows will install it’s default driver and it would be shown as "SecuGen Finger Print Device" in the Biometric Device Option withinDevice Manager. If you install the driver manually as described above it will display as “SecuGen U20 USB FRD “ within the Device Manager.

⇝ To Start >> run and type NFD and then press enter. This will open device diagnostic utility. Under Device tab click on device scan button, click init button then place finger on sensor and click capture. Just check if image appear on left window or not.

Last step is to install HPro20AP Lagacy Driver, as administrator.

⇝ Place a finger on the sensor and click Capture.If the capture function works, it will display a fingerprint image. If an error has occurred, it will display an error message below the window.

⇝ To check RD Service is installed properly, go to Run window and Type “Services.msc” . Once Services windows is open, Check “Morpho RD Service” status is “Running” . If it is not running, please restart by clicking “Restart the service” option in left side of panel.
