The AB-PMJAY-CMs ArK cards are reshaping the healthcare narrative in Karnataka's dynamic landscape. The Department of Health & Family Welfare Services in Karnataka has identified the challenges, in achieving their goal of 5.69 crore AB-PMJAY-CMs ArK cards, with only 1.54 crore currently in existence. In response, the department is taking proactive measures to expedite the process. Recognizing the limitations of the existing system, the decision has been made to create AB-PMJAY-CMs ArK cards in all primary health centers.

Implementation Strategy:

To streamline the creation of AB-PMJAY-CMs ArK cards, the National Health Authority's BIS 2.0 App has been introduced for self-card registration. Primary health centers, both rural and urban, will be equipped with fingerprint readers and biometric devices, costing Rs. 4,000 each. Doctors and their staff are mandated to link these devices to their mobile phones or computers, providing beneficiaries with a user-friendly interface.
